Block Storage - IOPS and Bandwidth Update
What is New
We have updated the IOPS and bandwidth limits for Switch Cloud Block Storage tiers to better align with our backend capabilities and customer needs. Tier names and prices remain unchanged.
New Performance Limits

| Standard | 1'000 | 100 MiB/s |
| Performance | 4'000 | 200 MiB/s |
| High-Performance | 12'000 | 400 MiB/s |
Important Notice
These limits are designed to improve operational stability and reduce noisy neighbour issues while allowing for bursts.
Why We Made This Change
- To better align with customer expectations and comparable market offerings
- To reflect the actual capabilities of our current storage backend
- To provide a clearer and more consistent tier progression
- To ensure the High-Performance tier is discoverable
