Portal 1.2
Moved Compute CLI Configuration
In an effort to keep everything consistent and in one place, the CLI configuration for Compute's shared application credentials has also been moved to the official documentation. The configuration can be found here, or by clicking on the question mark next to the shared application credentials section of your Compute project in Portal. You still need to create your secret in the Portal, but all other information regarding the CLI configuration will now only be found in the documentation.
Add Schema to S3 Endpoint
We’ve updated our S3 endpoint urls to include the “https://” schema by default. This improvement reduces configuration errors for most S3 clients, ensuring a smoother setup process and reliable connections to your object storage.
Additional Deletion Checks for S3 Service Instances
We’ve updated the S3 deletion process to ensure data integrity. Buckets can no longer be deleted if they contain any objects (locked or unlocked). Additionally, S3 service instances now require all buckets to be removed before the instance itself can be deleted. This safeguard helps prevent accidental data loss and aligns with our goal of providing a secure and reliable object storage experience.
Enhanced Feedback/Bug Report Form
The external JIRA-based feedback and bug report form has been replaced with a new integrated feedback system. This improvement streamlines the feedback process, making it easier for users to report issues or share suggestions directly within the Portal. The new form automatically creates tickets in our internal tracking system and allows users to upload attachments to provide additional context. This enhancement maintains all previous functionality while providing a more seamless experience for users.
