Portal 1.2
Compute CLI Configuration Moved to Official Documentation
To ensure consistency and centralise information, the CLI configuration for the Compute service's shared application credentials has been moved to the official documentation. Click the question mark icon next to the shared application credentials section of your Compute service project in the Portal for relevant hints. While you still need to create your application credential secret within the Portal, all other CLI configuration details are now exclusively available in the documentation.
S3 Endpoint Addresses Now Include Scheme
S3 endpoint addresses now include the https://
scheme by default.
This change reduces configuration errors for many S3 clients, ensuring a smoother setup process and more reliable
connections to your object storage.
Safeguards for S3 Service Instance Deletion
We’ve introduced additional safeguards to the S3 service deletion process to better protect your data. Buckets containing any objects (locked or unlocked) can no longer be deleted. Furthermore, S3 service instances now require all associated buckets to be empty before the instance itself can be deleted. These measures help prevent accidental data loss and contribute to a more secure and reliable object storage experience.
Enhanced Feedback and Bug Report Form
We've replaced the external Jira issue collector with a new integrated feedback system. This change addresses limitations of the previous tool, such as mandatory but unhelpful input fields, providing a more focused and efficient channel for your input. The new, streamlined form makes it easier to report issues or share suggestions directly within the Portal. It automatically creates tickets in our internal tracking system and allows you to upload attachments for additional context, offering a more seamless experience while retaining all previous core functionality.
