Portal 1.7

Release 1.7 introduces a refinements in the Billing view, improved Shared Application Credentials creation, updated Compute and S3 quotas, and enhanced flexibility for project descriptions. Shared application credentials now include a visible, copyable ID alongside the key. Compute and S3 quotas defaults for new projects have been increased, and project descriptions now support Markdown for richer formatting.

Portal 1.6

Release 1.6 may seem small on the outside, but it packs a lot. All available Quotas for Compute and S3 can now be viewed and a selected few, even edited.

Apart from the user-visible changes, this release also brings significant enhancements for administrators, making it easier for them to identify issues and provide more effective support. We've also introduced internal improvements aimed at accelerating our productivity and ensuring higher overall quality.

Portal 1.5

Release 1.5 delivers a redesigned experience focused on improving clarity, usability, and cost transparency. The new Billing tab provides a consolidated view of all your projects and their associated costs, helping you stay in control and avoid unexpected charges at the end of the month.

Service instance views now feature a nested tabs navigation, making it easier and more intuitive to access and switch between key information. To support consistent naming, project and service instance names are now automatically aligned, with a randomised code appended to ensure they remain unique across all organisations.

Portal 1.4

Release 1.4 streamlines project setup and network configuration across your organisation. An organisation network, along with its associated policies, can now be managed directly from the organisation settings. This network can be automatically made available or deployed to all newly created Compute and Kubernetes projects, removing the need for manual configuration. Building on this simplification, we have also reduced setup friction for service instances: project members are now automatically added to new service instances, eliminating repetitive manual assignments. To support more advanced use cases, this release also introduces a public API that makes it easier to automate and extend your workflows.

Portal 1.3

Release 1.3 lays important groundwork for future improvements in project management and enhances visibility into your resources. The new Project settings page consolidates key management actions in one place, simplifying project configuration and maintenance while also paving the way for exciting future enhancements, such as network management and policy controls. Additionally, you can now view servers and volumes directly within the Compute service view, and new safeguards prevent the deletion of Compute service instances with active resources, making your infrastructure management more resilient against user errors.

Portal 1.2

Release 1.2 brings a set of improvements focused on clarity, safety, and usability of the Compute and S3 services. We've moved the CLI configuration for the Compute service's shared application credentials to the documentation to have a consistent source of truth for client configurations. S3 endpoints now include the full https:// scheme by default as the most used clients require it to be configured explicitly. Finally, we've enhanced S3 deletion checks to protect your data – buckets with existing objects can no longer be deleted, and service instances require all buckets to be removed before deletion.

Portal 1.1

Release 1.1 introduces a new way to preserve project data with project archiving, replacing permanent deletion with a read-only state. We've improved the clarity and layout of service resource tables, redesigned using card-based containers and contextual captions. The new dynamic pagination feature gives you control over how many items you see per page – from 10 to 100 – with your choice saved in the browser. New S3 service instances now include a default storage quota of 5 TiB, aligning with ongoing infrastructure upgrades. We've also enhanced our asynchronous operations, adding more robust retry handling for tasks like linking and unlinking services.
