Switch Cloud Observability

Switch Cloud Observability provides tools to monitor the health, performance, and usage of your infrastructure on the Switch Cloud.

Service Availability

Users with access to a Compute or S3 Service Instance can log in to Switch Cloud Observability to access metrics and dashboards.

Information Availability

The service provides dashboards offering a high-level overview of S3 and Compute usage, including:

• Running servers – current status and resource utilisation of your active Compute instances.
• Bucket usage – storage consumption and object counts for your S3 buckets.
• Quota usage – current consumption of allocated resources compared to your quotas.

Dashboards are scoped, enabling users to view metrics specific to a Project and its associated Service Instances.

Limitations

• Login is only possible for users who have at least one Project Membership in Switch Cloud Portal.
• Metrics are only shown for the last hour.
